Description

UNLEESHED is Lee Newton’s second CD release. It was released in 2002, and won a Josie Award for Album of the Year in that same year. UNLEESHED has a total of thirteen tracks, including a very special recording of Lee and her father, when she was only nine years old. Nine of the songs on this CD were written or co-written by Lee Newton. One of the stand out tracks on UNLEESHED is a great rendition of Merle Haggard’s Working Man Blues, but with a female twist as Working Girl Blues. Working Girl Blues was written by Merle Haggard and Leona Williams. Leona, along with Pam Tillis and Lee Roy Parnell join Lee on this unforgettable track. UNLEESHED was recorded at Omnisound Studio in Nashville, and was produced by Bill McDermott.
